Entries for Alaska Native visual artists interested in the Solo Artist Exhibition Series are being processed online through callforentry.org. Please read more about the application requirements and how to submit your work. Applications are being accepted until November 15, 2024.
Three artists will be selected for solo exhibitions to take place over the winters of 2026-28 from February through mid-April of 2026, February through mid-April of 2027, and February through mid-April of 2028. Selected artists will be announced in December 2024.
This series supports the work and development of Alaska Native artists, highlighting new bodies of work by individual artists. The exhibitions will be held in a small gallery space at the Sheldon Jackson Museum. Alaska Native Artists may use existing work in their application but are strongly encouraged to develop new work for this opportunity. The gallery dimensions, available display cases, and hanging system are detailed below and in the call document.
