On Sat., Nov. 16th, at 10:30am, the Sheldon Jackson Museum will be a guest at the Sitka Public Library’s Babies & Books Program. Sitka Babies and Books is a free program that takes place at the library each month. The goal of the program is to encourage Sitka children to become lifelong readers, by providing books and programs for children and parent education and support during the children’s first three years.
During the November 16th Babies & Books Program, the Sheldon Jackson Museum curator will read the story The Blueberry Deer and afterwards, share hands-on touchable objects from the museum related to Sitka Blacktail Deer.
