As part of the Alaska Native Artist Residency Program, artist Selina Alexander (Koyukon Athabascan) will give an talk about learning her art forms on Thursday, September 28th from 2-3 pm. Selina’s art forms include beading, fur sewing, porcupine quill work, and caribou fur tufting, among others. People wishing to reserve a spot to attend the talk in-person should call the museum at (907) 747-8981. This talk will also be simultaneously streamed on Zoom, with the recording uploaded afterwards to the Friends of SJM YouTube channel.
